then作“那么”解時(shí)常用于句首或句末，用來緩和語氣；作“然后”解時(shí)常位于and之后，所修飾的詞語之前，起連接作用。

這組詞的共同意思是“因此；所以；于是”，它們的區(qū)別是：
1.so,then和thus是一般用詞；accordingly,consequently,hence,therefore和thereupon是正式用詞。
2.so和then常用于簡潔的日常談話，語義較輕，只表示因果關(guān)系或邏輯順序，而不一定表示嚴(yán)格的推論關(guān)系。
