ampere安培=1881年巴黎國(guó)際電學(xué)會(huì)議通過(guò)-項(xiàng)決議，為了紀(jì)念對(duì)電磁學(xué)作出巨大貢獻(xiàn)的法國(guó)物理學(xué)家Andre Marie Ampere(1775—1836)，電流強(qiáng)度的單位以他的姓氏命名為ampere，口語(yǔ)常作amp，漢語(yǔ)譯為“安培”，簡(jiǎn)稱“安"。在此以前為了紀(jì)念意大利物理學(xué)家Alessandro volta(1745—1827)，電壓?jiǎn)挝灰讯麨関olt，漢語(yǔ)作“伏特”或簡(jiǎn)稱“伏"。另外兩個(gè)電學(xué)的常用單位名稱，即電阻單位ohm(歐姆)和電的功率單位watt(瓦特)則得名于德國(guó)物理學(xué)家Georg Simon Ohm(1787—1854)和英國(guó)發(fā)明家James Watt(1736—1819)。
